| Générales | Cet Indigotier a lontemps été confondu avec Indigofera spicata Forssk. Il s'en distingue par l'infrutescence allongée (≤ 23 / ≤ 10 cm), le plus grand nombre de folioles (7-11 / 5-7), la colonne staminale plus allongée (4-4, 5 / 3 mm), etc. [DU PUY, LABAT & SCHRIRE 1993 ; DU PUY & al. 2002]. |
| Réunion | Bien qu'il n'existe aucune récolte du XVIIIe siècle (POLHILL 1990), l'indigénat de cet indigotier à la Réunion ne peut formellement être exclu, compte tenu de son aire générale paléotrop. |
